John Braun is running for Congress. I’ve worked for him since he became a state senator and have come to know him as a legislator and friend. There are many reasons to vote for him. I will share a few.
Integrity: John is a man of integrity. In the Legislature, he’s one of those rare people who was identified right away as an obvious leader and has maintained his position as leader of the Republican Caucus for six years. When serving as leader, honesty and integrity must be your foundation. Others won’t follow you otherwise. Even legislators from the other side of the aisle believe that when John Braun is part of the discussion, what he says can be trusted and his word can be relied upon.
Drive to serve: John Braun is not a typical politician. He doesn’t chase headlines or crave the spotlight. He puts his shoulder to the wheel to get the job done, always looking for solutions that will benefit all of Washington. During the legislative session, he will often attend to his local business responsibilities in the early mornings, then work tirelessly at the Capitol into the late evenings. His dedication to his constituents is what drives his work ethic.
Strategic intelligence: I’ve been amazed at how John sees solutions to problems and then utilizes available resources to accomplish the goal. He identifies problems, drafts bills to solve them, and then might give the bill to someone else who has more expertise in the field. If he identifies others who can help get a bill passed, he doesn’t hesitate to search out and enlist their help. His ability to find the right people to work with to solve problems and pass bills is a well-known skill.
Strength of character: Multiple degrees in fields such as engineering, a military career, a successful business, and being an accomplished legislator are a testament to his exceptional character. When John decides on a course, he’s not easily moved from the path, but he is willing to change course if given a good reason. He’s genuinely happy to meet with others to gain new insight into issues, frequently going out of his way to collect information and opinions from both experts and constituents to find effective solutions.
A person’s life is a window into whether they can live up to the expectations we have of them. John has a wonderful family, has worked hard to become a successful businessman, and he is well-respected by all who work with him. He has four kids and a son-in-law. Of the five, four chose to serve our country in the military, and another serves in the healthcare field. He has also been involved in multiple charities in our community, not in the spotlight, but behind the scenes. He lives a life of service to his country, his community, and his family.
John is the best choice to represent us in Congress. When your ballot arrives, vote for John Braun.
