On behalf of the Mossyrock High School class of 2029, we would like to thank Lewis County Fire District 3 for providing CPR and AED training to the Mossyrock freshmen class.
Their willingness to teach these important lifesaving skills is a tremendous service to both students and the community. CPR and AED training gives our students the confidence and knowledge to respond in an emergency situation.
By training our students, Lewis County Fire District 3 is helping create a safer and more prepared community.
The fire department personnel showed patience, professionalism and dedication throughout the training. They made the lessons engaging and hands-on, allowing students to practice real-world skills that they may one day use to save a life.
The members of LCFD3 who trained and certified our students are Lead Trainer Amanda Houghtelling, Commissioner Doug Houghtelling, Commissioner Scott Spade, Chief Bill Edgington, Paramedic Destiny Dillashaw and Firefighter/EMT Duke Palm.
Programs like this are incredibly valuable for schools and communities. Many students may never have had the opportunity to learn and be certified in CPR or AED use otherwise. Thanks to Lewis County Fire District 3, these freshmen now have skills that could help family members, friends, classmates or even strangers during a medical emergency.
We are fortunate to have community partners who care so deeply about educating and protecting others. Lewis County Fire District 3 deserves recognition for investing their time and effort to the class of 2029 at Mossyrock High School.
