In case anyone hasn’t watched the evening news lately, America is under attack. Citizens and immigrants both legal and undocumented are being arrested by cowards in masks. Children are effectively being orphaned as their parents are deported to prisons across the globe.
The current roundup is based on skin color. Even during the dark days that Germany went through in the 1930s, the Gestapo did not cover their faces to hide their identities as they rounded up “The Enemy Within.”
They were proud of what they were doing. Could it be that this later-day version of the Gestapo is aware that what they are doing is wrong and it is shame that’s causing them to hide their identities?
Using bald faced lies, our president is doing all that he can to gin up fear of “The Other” among Americans. His portrayal of Portland in flames can easily be dismissed. All one needs to do is spend a day there. The lies being told regarding ICE being under attack is a step toward the declaration of martial law. This would unleash our sons and daughters in uniform to do what they have been trained to do: attack groups they are ordered to attack.
This tactic has been used time after time when want-to-be dictators’ lust for absolute power over the citizens of their countries.
If you have any doubts that this is happening, open your eyes and your minds to the truth of these times. Efforts are underway to reopen closed prison facilities in:
• California city owned by Core Civic, a longtime ICE detention partner located in the Mojave desert
• Federal correction institution in Dublin, California
• The North Lake Correctional Center in Lake County, Michigan, owned by another prison corporation, Geo Group
• Geo Group has already reopened the Delany Hall facility in Newark, New Jersey
• Core Civic is working on reopening the Midwest Regional Reception Center in Leavenworth, Kansas
The reason for these actions is to provide beds needed for ICE’s expanding number of arrests. What is on the horizon for the use of all these prisons? Once these millions of the “worst of the worst” have been deported, will “The Enemy Within” (Democrats) fill those empty cells?
With newly reopened eyes, citizens of America can stand up, speak out and just say no to the madness that is currently ruling our country. It is imperative that peaceful protest by the masses remain just that. Picture Black citizens in the 1960s having police dogs unleashed on them, blasted with fire hoses, and of peaceful protesters beaten on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama on “Bloody Sunday.”
As John Lewis said, now is the time for “good trouble.”
