Letter to the editor: What does it mean to be a Republican?

Posted

Greetings, all. In these difficult times, I thought we all might need a reason to have hope.

The Democratic Party and their allies in America are motivated to destroy our history and democratic republic for various reasons. Perhaps one of the more popular ones is the misconception that America has failed them. That they do not have a valuable stake in this nation and want to destroy it and rebuild this land into something that they have been conditioned to believe is better. They defend criminal illegals over Americans, fraud and abuse over effective government, destroy women’s suffrage and rights, subvert parents’ rights, and encourage political violence against those dedicated to making America great again. Furthermore, Democratic Party agitators and their allies advocate for ideologies like communism and socialism, which are diametrically opposed to the principles that America was founded on. Quintessential American principals like liberty, justice, freedom and equality among all of our people. These are Republican principles.

Our nation was born of blood and death. It is true, yet this conflict also gave birth to the greatest nation the world has ever known. Our culture, American culture, is not a book, a place, Hollywood, music or baseball. It is the Constitution of the United States of America. A hallowed document that has withstood over 249 years of war, civil strife, economic collapse and cancel cultures. It has survived because it is right and true to the betterment of humanity. It is a blueprint of how humans can live together in relative harmony while still maintaining their ethnicity and individuality. This document and America are the Shining City on the Hill (Ronald Reagan). Everyone in America and the world looks to us for leadership, inspiration and justice. I don’t care if you are white, black, brown or green, you are an American, my brothers and sisters in this Shining City on the Hill.

The ideals that she represents must never falter, must never fade, and must never be extinguished. We can build a better nation together without destroying the one we have.

Republicans must work together, or we will perish together and this shining beacon of hope for millions of American people will be extinguished forever. I love this nation with all my heart. Let your heart swell with love and pride with the knowledge that we can and will preserve our exceptional nation in the face of uncertainty and intentional destruction. Contact us, visit with us, organize with us and make a difference with us. We are the guardians of liberty, foot soldiers of democracy, and people just like you who are willing to put our actions where our words are to make a difference in Lewis County, the state of Washington and the United States of America.
