Lewis County Auditor’s Office: Deadlines to update voter registration approaching

Posted

With the November election less than two weeks away, the deadlines for residents to update their voter registration are fast approaching.

According to a Monday news release from the Lewis County Auditor’s Office, registrations by mail, online or at a driver’s licensing location must be received or completed by Oct. 30.

Residents can also visit the Lewis County Auditor’s Office, located at 351 NW North St. in Chehalis, through election day to update their voter registration.

The auditor’s office is open between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and will be open until 8 p.m. on election day.

Voter information can only be updated if a resident has not already returned their ballot.

To learn more about the measures and candidates that appear on your ballot, go to www.votewa.gov to access an online voters’ guide. To see information about the races across Lewis County, go to elections.lewiscountywa.gov.

Registered voters should begin to receive their ballots this week. If a voter hasn’t received their ballot by Oct. 27, the auditor’s office recommends visiting votewa.gov and selecting “my ballot,” calling 360-740-1278 or visiting 351 NW North St., Chehalis, to track your ballot or update your registration.

During the current election cycle, the auditor’s office mailed out 54,615 ballots to Lewis County residents.
