Lewis County Commissioners look for four volunteers for lodging tax committee

Posted

The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is looking for four community members to serve on the county’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC).

Commissioners are looking for two members who represent businesses required to collect the lodging tax and two members involved in activities that can be funded by the lodging tax.

The lodging tax is a tax on lodging for hotels, motels, rooming houses, private campgrounds, RV parks and similar facilities. LTAC volunteers advise the BOCC on how to distribute the funds.

The board meets periodically throughout the year, including “one all-day meeting in the fall during which members review allocation proposals.”

Applications are due by 3 p.m. on April 4 and can be found at lewiscountywa.gov/offices/commissioners/

To apply, submit an application and a letter of interest by mail at 351 NW North St., Chehalis, WA 98532, by email at committees@lewiscountywa.gov (with LTAC in the subject line), or in person at the commissioners’ office in Room 210 of the historic courthouse at 351 NW North St. in Chehalis.
