Lewis County Drug Court is inviting community members to “chase recovery — not records” with its annual 5K fun run and walk next month.

Lewis County Drug Court announced its annual 5K earlier this week, inviting supportive community members to register for the May 11 event by the end of next week, Friday, April 17, to guarantee they receive a Lewis County Drug Court T-shirt. The event costs $25 per participant or $100 for a group of five.

According to a news release from the Lewis County Drug Court team, the event supports local therapeutic courts such as drug court and Lewis County Family Court. Members of the community of all ages and fitness levels are invited to participate.

“Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a meaningful way to get involved, this is a fun, family-friendly opportunity to show your support,” reads the event announcement. “Walkers are absolutely welcome!”

The 5K run will begin from Stan Hedwall Park in Chehalis and begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. Late- to-register participants can sign up at the start line starting at 4 p.m.

Those looking to register ahead of time can coordinate with the drug court team to pick up registration paperwork or receive it by email. Registration paperwork is available for pickup from the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce or the Lewis County Drug Court Office located in the Lewis County Law and Justice Center.

For more information on how to register, community members can reach out to members of the drug court staff team, including Stephanie Miller at 360-880-1060 or Emily La Casse at 360-880-3871. Completed registration forms can be dropped off in the parking lot of the Law and Justice Center.
