Lewis County Fire District 5 and 6 responded to a shop fire on Newaukum Valley Drive early Saturday morning, June 22.
The 40-by-25-foot building was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived just after 2 a.m., according to a social media post by Lewis County Fire District 6.
“A second alarm was called to provide manpower and additional water resources,” Fire District 6 wrote. “It took nearly two hours to extinguish and overhaul the structure. Big thanks to the firefighters from Districts 5, 6, 48 and 15 and others who remained on standby if needed.”
The cause of the fire was not included in the post.
