The Lewis County Board of Health (BOH) is seeking residents interested in serving on the Public Health and Social Services (PHSS) Advisory Board, a volunteer board that advises the BOH on issues affecting community health, environmental health and social services.
The 13-member board provides an opportunity for community members to share their experience and help shape decisions that affect public health and social services across Lewis County.
Advisory Board members bring lived experience and professional expertise to inform plans and programs that impact the health and wellbeing of local residents, according to a news release from the county.
The BOH is accepting applications to fill one at-large position. This position is open to any Lewis County resident with an interest in public health and social services. The appointment will fill an existing vacancy with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2027.
The Advisory Board meets monthly at 4 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room at the Lewis County Courthouse, 351 NW North St. in Chehalis.
Applications are due by 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 5. Interested individuals can download an application at https://tinyurl.com/k2686m48 and submit the completed form by email to BOH@lewiscountywa.gov. Applications will be presented to the BOH at its April 13 meeting.
