Lewis County Young Professionals (LCYP) will launch a new nine-month leadership development program to kick off the summer of 2026.

On Friday, the local professional group announced the foundation of a new cohort based leadership program to be known as Learn, Engage, Advance and Develop, or LEAD. The group plans to celebrate the official launch of the new program with a 7:30 a.m. breakfast on Thursday, July 9, at the Centralia Train Depot.

The new leadership program will, according to the announcement from the Lewis County Young Professionals, “provide participants with immersive learning opportunities, meaningful relationships and a deeper understanding of the industries, institutions and issues that shape our region.”

Participants will attend monthly sessions dealing with common subjects including leadership development, economic vitality, government, education, agriculture and more. LCYP describes the program as building on its “mission of fostering leadership.”

“Leadership development is an investment in the future of Lewis County,” Lewis County Young Professionals President Gavin Gullard said. “Our goal is to create opportunities for individuals to grow, connect, and better understand the people and organizations that make this community thrive.”

Applications to participate in the new program are available now on the LCYP website. To find more information about the new program, visit https://tinyurl.com/yc5288r4.
