A Winlock man accused of assaulting his girlfriend and then crashing his vehicle repeatedly into her car in the RV area of the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds on Saturday is facing felony charges.

Brandon Patrick Webb-Watkins, 26, was charged Monday, Oct. 14, in Lewis County Superior Court with one count each of first-degree malicious mischief and fourth-degree assault. Each charge carries a domestic violence enhancement.

Webb-Watkins was arrested after officers with the Chehalis Police Department responded to the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds at approximately 10:47 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, according to charging documents.

The victim reported she and Webb-Watkins, who were in a dating relationship, were sleeping in the victim’s trailer when Webb-Watkins woke up and began yelling at her. Webb-Watkins allegedly grabbed the victim’s hand “and squeezed it hard, causing her pain,” according to court documents.
The victim reported she was able to push Webb-Watkins away from her. Webb-Watkins then allegedly went outside, got into his vehicle and crashed it into the victim’s car.

Webb-Watkins allegedly “rammed her car several times, until the vehicle was shoved up against the RV,” according to court documents.

A responding officer determined the vehicle had been totaled and estimated the damage to the vehicle exceeded $7,000.

When questioned by officers, Webb-Watkins allegedly “admitted to hitting (the victim’s) car more than once.” He allegedly “said the first time was an accident, but the subsequent times he hit her car intentionally.”

He allegedly “said the argument was over ‘drug use’” but “declined to elaborate on the reason,” according to court documents.

He was booked into the Lewis County Jail at 11:20 p.m. on Oct. 12, according to jail records.

Webb-Watkins was released on $10,000 unsecured bail on Monday.

Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17.
