A 30-year-old Shelton woman who was killed Oct. 7 by a wrong-way driver on state Route 16 near Gig Harbor has been identified, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 1 a.m., Alicia A. Perrin of Shelton was riding a motorcycle in the eastbound lanes of SR 16 at Rosedale Road near Gig Harbor.

Meanwhile, a 54-year-old Federal Way woman, suspected of driving under the influence, was headed west in the eastbound lanes of the same highway. Troopers say the woman crashed head-on into Perrin.

Perrin died at the scene and was later identified by the Pierce County Medical Examiner on Oct. 9., according to State Patrol.

The Federal Way woman has since been charged with one count of vehicular homicide.
