A middle school student was taken to a hospital by ambulance Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle, according to a Chehalis School District official.
The district was unable to comment on the severity of injuries, but emergency responder radio traffic indicated the injuries were not life-threatening.
The student was walking toward W.F. High School when he or she was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Southwest Snively Avenue and Southwest 20th Street, a district official told The Chronicle, adding that there was no crosswalk and crossing guard.
The incident occurred in the afternoon after school was out for the day.
