Midway Cinema in Chehalis offering discounts for National Cinema Day

Coming Attractions Theatres is partnering with the Cinema Foundation to celebrate the second annual National Cinema Day on Sunday, Aug. 27.

Midway Cinema in Chehalis will be participating in the one-day event, “which celebrates the power of movies to bring us all together,” according to a news release. 

Discounted admissions will be offered for all movies, with a ticket costing no more than $4. In addition to the films showing on the big screen, the concession stand will be offering $4 medium popcorn and $4 medium soft drinks. 

“It’s the perfect treat to pair with your favorite movie,” Coming Attractions Theatres stated in the release. “To celebrate National Cinema Day on Aug. 27, moviegoers will be able to enjoy dozens of movies, including new films opening this weekend like ‘Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story,’ and current box office hits like ‘Barbie,’ ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,’ and more.”



The Midway Cinema is at 181 NE Hampe. St., Chehalis.

Coming Attractions Theatres, Inc., was founded in 1985 in Ashland, Oregon. Since then, the companies’ expansions include theatres in smaller to medium-sized markets throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The Cinema Foundation is a donor-supported charitable nonprofit “dedicated to promoting the essential cinema exhibition industry by developing future diverse workforces and growing moviegoing communities through research, education and philanthropy,” according to the release.
