Motorcycle driver dies after a high-speed crash in Pierce County, deputies say

A 30-year-old man died after crashing his motorcycle in Pierce County on Wednesday.

Pierce County deputies were dispatched at 5:43 p.m. to 65th Avenue East near 200th Street East for reports of a crash. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department on Facebook.

Deputies learned the man was driving south on 65th Avenue at high rate before he crashed. They were advised he had been drinking and not wearing a helmet. There were no witnesses to the crash, the post said.
