Ayn Mann, 16, was a page in the Washington state House of Representatives Feb. 23-27, according to a news release from her sponsors, 20th Legislative District state Reps. Ed Orcutt, R-Kalama, and Rep. Peter Abbarno, R-Chehalis.

Mann, a sophomore at Napavine High School, supported state lawmaker offices and made deliveries on the Capitol Campus during her time in Olympia. She also attended page school, where she learned about the Legislature and state government.

"I was pleased to have Ayn page for me this week," Orcutt said. "I enjoyed showing her how the Legislature operates as well as to learn about her and her aspirations. And I really appreciated the work she did to help legislators during her week here at the Capitol."

"It's always fun to see students like Ayn step into the fast pace of session and take it all in," Abbarno, House Republican Caucus chair, said: "She showed up ready to learn, asked great questions, and represented Napavine High School well. I truly enjoyed getting to know her better and learning about her interest in becoming an attorney and playing volleyball. Watching young people experience the Capitol for the first time is one of the best parts of this job, and Ayn made it a great week."
