New Honda dealership to hold ribbon-cutting ceremony in Chehalis

Following construction and associated delays, the new Interstate Honda dealership will be holding its official grand opening on Sept. 21 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m., according to a news release from the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.

“The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks a four-year journey to completion and the owners are already eyeing plans for expansion,” the release stated.

It’s the second dealership President John Csernotta has opened in Washington, with the first being one he purchased in Aberdeen six years ago, according to the release.

Using the delays to his advantage, Csernotta and his business partner made the new Chehalis dealership the first in the nation to feature their new “blue stage design,” which features an open-concept interior and utilizes iPad-based paperless transactions.

The release went on to say Csernotta focuses on customer satisfaction through employee satisfaction and that the staff at his Aberdeen dealership boasts a 0% turnover rate.

“We believe that happy employees make happy customers,” Csernotta said in the release. “We believe that culture and fit are far more important than a history of auto-sales experience.”

He said he also believes creating a pleasant and accessible environment for customers is essential.

Csernotta has 38 years of experience in the automotive industry, including 20 years with the Ford Motor Company and 10 years as vice president of J.D. Power and Associates, according to the release.

Interstate Honda is located at 1820 NW Louisiana Ave. in Chehalis, just off Exit 72 on Interstate 5.
