The Oakville softball team couldn’t string together its second win in a row on Thursday, as the Acorns lost 26-5 to Ocosta in three innings.
Ocosta scored 13 runs in the top of the first to go up big, and though Oakville was able to make a small dent with four in the bottom half, it wasn’t nearly enough to get the Acorns back in the game.
Taryn Baker finished with two hits, including a double, scored two runs, and drove in a run, while Riyah Filitaula added an RBI of her own. Vivi Cruz added a hit and also scored a run in two at-bats.
Oakville (1-9) will be at home again on Monday to host Lake Quinault for a doubleheader.
