Cathlamet proved to be a tough place to play for the Oakville baseball team on Friday, when the Acorns lost to Wahkiakum 12-2 in six innings.
Daniel Rodas didn’t allow a run in the first three innings and helped himself during a two-run second, but the Acorns didn’t help him defensively in the final three frames.
The Mules scored 12 runs in those three innings, but just one of them was charged as earned because Oakville committed eight errors behind Rodas.
The Acorns (3-7) will look to snap their four-game losing streak on Monday in Naselle.
