In a high-scoring affair, the Loggers gave one too many big innings en route to a 20-10 six-inning loss to the Wildcats on Friday night in Ocosta.

Onalaska trailed 6-4 after three innings and pieced together a five-run fourth to take a three-run lead. Ocosta emphatically answered with an eight-run bottom half and ended the game by run-rule with six more in the sixth.

The Loggers struggled on the mound, giving up double digit walks and plunked a handful of batters. Coach Weylin Womack stated he felt his group “Played well today,” but added “We can’t walk 11 guys and hit four and expect to win many games that way.”

It was a 4-4 game after two frames as both sides exchanged three-run outbursts in the first and second innings, respectively. Jacob Meiss notched two hits and two RBIs for Onalaska while Desean Stewart registered two RBIs and three walks.
