One Injured During Shooting in Centralia on Friday

One person was transported to the hospital for minor injuries after a bullet fired during an altercation near the Russell Street Apartments in Centralia on Friday struck a cellphone in the victim’s pocket.

No other injuries were reported. 

Officers with the Centralia Police Department were dispatched to the scene in the 2800 block of Russell Street  just before 5:55 p.m. on Friday, April 7.

All parties had left the scene by the time officers arrived, according to the Centralia Police Department. 

The suspected assailant, identified by the Centralia Police Department as Curtis C. St. Germain, 23, of Centralia, was located, arrested and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree assault at 9:40 p.m. on Friday, according to jail records. 



St. Germain is accused of displaying a firearm during the altercation and firing off several rounds, according to the Centralia Police Department. 

St. Germain is being held on a no-bail hold until a judge can address his case on Monday.

Charges against St. Germain had not been filed as of Saturday afternoon.
