Voters approved Lewis County Fire District 10 in Packwood’s emergency medical services levy renewal request on election night.
As of Tuesday evening, 82.23% of voters approved the levy, for a total of 384 yes votes, while 17.77%, or 83 voters, opposed.
The measure allows District 10 to continue levying a regular property tax rate of 25 cents or less per $1,000 of assessed value for the next six years beginning in 2023 to continue funding emergency medical services for its citizens.
The existing levy at the same 25 cent rate is set to expire at the end of 2022.
