The PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation in Vancouver received a $1 million grant from the Cowlitz Indian Tribe to fund the expansion of the hospital’s emergency department.
PeaceHealth reports in a press release the expansion is set to double the size of its southwest medical center’s emergency facility by the summer.
The emergency department sees more than 75,000 patients per year and is the region’s only Level II trauma center, according to the release. The facility is also Clark County’s largest employer, the release states.
