The driver of a pickup truck died in a rollover crash while racing a motorcyclist in Clackamas on Monday, police said
The crash happened just before 2:10 p.m. as Corey Neal Sharer, 57, of Portland, “appeared to be racing” a motorcyclist on the onramp to Interstate 205 from Southeast Sunnybrook Boulevard, Oregon State Police said in a statement.
Investigators concluded that Sharer’s white Ford F-250 struck a concrete barrier and then rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on the shoulder of Southeast Sunnybrook Boulevard, police said.
Sharer died at the scene.
Investigators haven’t identified the motorcyclist, but said the rider was on a dark-colored sportbike-style motorcycle.
The incident remains under investigation.
