The Adna volleyball team swept the Wahkiakum Mules in three sets Tuesday, 25-15, 25-12, 25-12 in front of an enthusiastic western-themed student section.

The Pirates (12-0, 6-0 C2BL) were relentless in all three sets. The first game had multiple small runs with it starting with five consecutive points and three aces. The second game also had its share with two four-point runs throughout the match. The final set had the largest with a six-point run in the middle and a four-point run at the end.

“I think the team was all equal, it was a little flat for us tonight, but I thought that we passed well,” coach Wendie Dotson said.

Danika Hallom was the stat leader with five aces, 10 kills and five digs in the victory. Kendall Humphry had four aces and eight kills with five digs.

Gaby Guard had three aces while Karsyn Freeman and Charissa Schierman had two each.

“We are trying to get a little more precision on what we are doing and getting specific about what we can do,” Dotson said. “We watch a lot of film and we practice based on the team we are playing.”

This brings the Pirates’ record to 12-0. Adna plays away in Onalaska on Thursday.
