The Adna girls soccer team faced defeat in Central 2B League play Monday, falling to Kalama 9-0.
“Things just were a bit slow and not clicking real well,” Adna coach Patrick Richardson said. “But Kalamais a very good team. They came out with a fire and we struggled to stop them.”
The Chinooks — who came into the day outscoring league opponents 53-0 — popped four goals in the first 14 minutes, and led 5-0 at the half.
Kalama’s Bridgette Hollifield had six goals on the night, while Sienna DiCristina had a hat trick for the other three goals
Jordanne Moon logged seven saves for the Pirates (5-5-3, 5-1-1 C2BL), who started to break through to get a few chances of their own in the second half but only finished with three shots.
Adna is set to get another test Wednesday, at home against Onalaska.
