Police in Thurston County seize $70,000, fentanyl and more from two people found unconscious

Olympia police found more than $70,000 in cash, drugs and other paraphernalia inside a car after receiving reports of two unconscious people outside of the vehicle.

One of those people is now facing charges for what police found.

The Olympia Police Department posted on its social media the incident happened Feb. 25. Officers were assisting the Olympia Fire Department on reports of two people unconscious outside a vehicle on northbound Cooper Point Road.



While removing clothing and bags to treat the two people, fire department first responders observed what appeared to be narcotics and several thousand dollars in cash. The two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The OPD received a search warrant for the vehicle and bags found at the scene. Officers recovered $70,977 in cash, 15.3 grams of suspected fentanyl, four cell phones, plastic baggies and a ledger.

One of the suspects is now facing charges of alleged possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
