R.A. Long’s Summer Jacks surged ahead early and never looked back Monday, downing Rural Baseball Inc., 10-4 at Castle Rock.
The Jacks posted two runs in the top of the first, added three-spots in the third and fifth, and closed out with runs in the sixth and seventh for good measure.
Gavin Frewing (Toledo) went 3 for 4 with nearly half of RBI’s hits by himself, and drove in three of the Dirtbags’ first three runs. The fourth came in the bottom of the fifth inning when Blake Howard hit a triple to center field and came around to score on an error for a little-league home run.
RBI is set to go to the Southwest Washington Senior Babe Ruth State Tournament on Thursday at Kelso.
