Third Congressional District Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Washougal, will host a mobile office hours event in Chehalis next week, as part of a series of events to assist constituents with federal agencies, including Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service and the State Department.

The first set of office hours is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Chehalis City Hall, located at 350 N. Market Blvd. in Chehalis. Attendees can enter through the administrative entrance and park in the lot or on the street.

“My bipartisan team is working each day to directly assist folks across Southwest Washington with federal agencies — whether it’s recovering Social Security checks, tax refunds or veterans benefits you’re owed,” Gluesenkamp Perez said in a statement. “Providing mobile office hours in local communities across the District is part of my mission to make our services more accessible, especially for rural communities and those who may have trouble finding the time to seek out our resources.”

According to Gluesenkamp Perez, her office has recovered more than $1.3 million from government agencies for 1,080 constituents.

Those unable to make the mobile office hours are invited to call at 360-695-6292, visit gluesenkampperez.house.gov/contact or stop by in person at the Gluesenkamp Perez’s offices in Vancouver or Kelso.
