Riverhawks Blast Bulldogs on Senior Night

Posted

Ten players scored, the Toledo boys basketball team got the 56-21 win over Stevenson at home, but most importantly, the Riverhawks sent out their four seniors on a high note in their last home game.

Honoring Wyatt Nef, Carson Olmstead, Mason Miller, and Chris Morales Tuesday night, the Riverhawks led from start to finish in a dominant display, and each of the four elder statesmen scored.

Nef had four points, Olmstead got the offense going with six first quarter points and some nice kick outs for open baskets, Miller had two points, and Morales, who hadn’t played all year, got in and drained a stepback three to the delight of the home crowd Tuesday night.

All-in-all, a successful night at the office for Toledo.

“We tried to make the game smaller and do the little things right,” Riverhawks coach Grady Fallon said. “We wanted to move and share the ball, first and foremost.”

The Riverhawks were led by Jake Cournyer and Rogan Stanley’s 12 points, but Olmstead (10 points) also scored in double figures to round out a well-balanced scoring effort.

Toledo will play in Napavine for its last regular season contest before districts Saturday.
