Jake Cournyer again led Toledo out to yet another win, with 25 points and 14 rebounds at the point guard spot to pace the Riverhawks to a 56-43 win over 2A Rochester Monday night.

The Riverhawks (6-1) got out ahead with their press and never looked back in the double-digit win over the Warriors. Carson Olmstead was the only other Riverhawk in double figures with 10 points and eight rebounds.

“We’re well rounded,” Toledo coach Grady Fallon said. “We have a lot of pieces. To feel like you didn’t play your best game and still win is a good feeling.”

The Warriors were led by Tyler Klatush’s 13 points. Rochester fell behind early but made a few runs to trim the deficit, before falling even with the Riverhawks in the second half, with 22 points a piece.

The Warriors next scheduled game is against Black Hills on Tuesday, while the Riverhawks look to keep it rolling against Taholah on Thursday.
