Warriors Fall to Monarchs

The Rochester baseball team had its fair share of early-season shakiness early and couldn’t muster the offense to overcome it, falling 7-1 to Mark Morris in Longview on Tuesday.

The Monarchs struck for two unearned runs off of Braden Hartley with the help of two Rochester errors behind him. From there, the Yakima Valley College commit shut the Monarchs down in a short outing, striking out four in two innings.

Ben Johnson would keep the Monarchs quiet until the bottom of the fifth, when a five-run frame blew the game open.

On the other side of things, the Warriors put up five hits, two coming from Hyde Parrish.

Rochester will get another crack at a Longview school Thursday when it hosts R.A. Long.
