She loved gardening, camping, bowling, bingo  and all card games. A loyal Mariners' fan, she attended her first major league baseball game at age 102. She loved her family, and was deeply loved by them. She will be truly missed by surviving family, including daughter Pat (Bob) Watson, daughter-in-law Pat (Ralph) Bishop, and son Don (Lynn) Bishop of Morton.

She is survived by eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, with another on the way. Besides her parents, and brothers,  Ruth was preceded in death by her husband in 1971 and by her son, Ralph in 2008. She was a loving and loyal friend to many, especially to her "second family" at Morton Long Term Care.

A graveside service was held at Evergreen Memorial in Seattle on May 7, 2012. Any memorials may be sent in her name to Eastern Lewis County Hospital Foundation at P.O. Box 1132, Morton, Wash.
