Sandra Jane (Unger) Emery

Sandra Jane (Unger) Emery, age 54, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 while on vacation in Lincoln City, OR, with her husband Larry. She was born in Chehalis, WA, August 6, 1956, to Eugene and Betty (Lohff) Unger.  Sandra grew up and attended school in Onalaska, WA and graduated from Onalaska High School in 1974. Sandy moved about for a few years after graduation, but settled in Olympia, WA after marrying the love of her life, Larry Emery, on April 1, 1988. After their marriage, Sandy joined Larry at his business and took over accounting and customer service. For the past 22 years they lived, worked, played and loved one another. Sandy enjoyed her pets, her family, and the times when she and Larry could get away. She also enjoyed planting flowers and different trees to see what she could make grow, photographing old Washington County seats, but most of all traveling.

Sandy is survived by her husband Larry Emery at home in Olympia, mother Betty Chappell of Chehalis, brothers Lee (Sheila) Unger of Chehalis and Walt (Sherrie) Unger of Onalaska, sister Sherie (Ross) Kenepah of Chehalis, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-sons Mark Emery, Vaughan (Kim) Emery, Scott Emery, Robbert (Suziko) Emery and 7 grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Gene Unger and also her step-father Boyd Chappell.

Visitation may be made between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday, January 10 at Sticklin Funeral Chapel.  

A funeral service for Sandra Emery is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 12 at Sticklin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brian North officiating.
