After two years without the 200-mile Seattle to Portland (STP) Bicycle Classic event, riders will again flock to the streets of the Twin Cities as they roll through on July 16 and 17.

The STP, hosted by the Cascade Bicycle Club, begins at the University of Washington E-18 parking lot and wraps up at Northeast 11th Avenue. and Holladay Street in Portland. Centralia College has long been the event’s official halfway point, with events taking place there celebrating riders during the day and many bikers choosing to camp there at night.

The college provides 30 acres of camping space, over 200 showers, food vendors, a full cafeteria, a beer garden and parking for RV and support vehicles.

“The majority of riders overnight here as it splits their days equally and has the festive atmosphere of a large cycling event,” stated the Cascade Bicycle Club website.
