Sentencing for Two Dogs Salvatore Fasaga, 43, of Onalaska, who was convicted last month of unlawful possession of a firearm, is scheduled to take place in Lewis County Superior Court at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25.

Unlawful possession of a firearm is a class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, though the standard sentencing range depends on the defendant’s criminal history.

The charge stems from a case alleging Fasaga murdered Paul Snarski in May 2018, but a judge acquitted Fasaga on the murder charges following a 10-day bench trial and subsequent week-long recess last month.

Fasaga has been in custody without bail at the Lewis County Jail since the verdict was delivered on July 28.

He is additionally being held on $1 million bail for an unrelated drive-by shooting and first-degree assault case stemming from a July 2018 incident where Fasaga allegedly fired a gun at a man and pursued him in a vehicle.

Fasaga waived his right to a jury trial in that case on Thursday, Aug. 11 and a bench trial is currently scheduled to begin in Lewis County Superior Court on Monday, Sept. 25.

Trial confirmation is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21.
