CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Joshua Blankenship, 37, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for an open alcohol container violation, possession of a controlled substance and use or delivery of drug paraphernalia after officers allegedly observed him walking down the street drinking alcohol near the corner of South Iron Street and West Main Street at about 2:13 a.m. Feb. 26. Officers allegedly found Blankenship with methamphetamine and a meth pipe.
• Kenton Reynolds, 42, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for fourth-degree assault domestic violence after allegedly pushing a household family member to the ground and injuring them in the 1900 block of Foxglove Lane at about 4:44 p.m. Feb. 26.
• Trevor Bartley, 30, Centralia, was arrested in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 26 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for third-degree theft, third-degree malicious mischief and first-degree criminal trespass after allegedly stealing a sweatshirt and tablet from a local business, smashing the tablet and remaining unlawfully in an area of the business he was not authorized to be in.
Accidents
• Officers investigated a hit-and-run in the 500 block of Pioneer Way at about 10:11 a.m. Feb. 25 after a pickup truck reportedly hit a fence.
• A three-vehicle collision was reported in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue at about 9:51 a.m. Feb. 26. No injuries were reported and the at-fault driver received an infraction.
• Ronald E. Culver, 41, Elma, was issued a criminal citation for hit-and-run in the 1900 block of Ahlers Avenue at about 1:47 p.m. Feb. 26 after he allegedly collided with a fence and fled the scene.
Assault
• Officers responded to a report of alleged child abuse in the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road at about 9:24 p.m. Feb. 25. The alleged abuse was said to be perpetrated by the juvenile’s mother one month prior. The case is under investigation.
• A juvenile was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief after he allegedly head-butted a staff member and kicked over a table at Centralia Middle School at about 9:37 a.m. Feb. 26.
Criminal trespass
• Teresa L. Leys, 56, Centralia, was arrested in the 300 block of North Gold Street at about 11:47 a.m. Feb. 25 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged criminal trespass.
• Trevor Bartley, 30, Centralia, was issued a criminal citation for alleged second-degree criminal trespass in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street at about 11:41 p.m. Feb. 25.
Disorderly conduct
• A transient male was contacted and warned after a witness thought they saw him urinating in a public area in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 2:42 p.m. Feb. 25. Officers were unable to establish probable cause for an arrest.
Drug paraphernalia
• Justin Bedortha, 35, Centralia, was cited and released for alleged use or delivery of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of North Gold Street at about 2:14 a.m. Feb. 27.
Harassment
• Gregory Burkhart, 52, Chehalis, was issued a criminal citation for telephone harassment in the 1700 block of North Pearl Street at about 3:56 p.m. Feb. 26 after he allegedly called repeatedly to harass employees of a local business.
Juvenile problem
• Officers received a report from Centralia Middle School at about 11:20 a.m. Feb. 26 of a student sending nude photos. The case is under investigation.
Loitering
• Aaron Henning, 36, Centralia, was cited and released for allegedly loitering for drug-intended purposes in the 100 block of East Pine Street at about 3:27 a.m. Feb. 27.
Minor possession of liquor
• A juvenile was referred to the Lewis County Juvenile Court for charges of minor in possession of alcohol and third-degree theft in the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road at about 11:10 p.m. Feb. 25 after allegedly shoplifting alcohol and drinking it.
Vehicle theft
• A utility trailer was reported stolen in the 2600 block of Eureka Avenue at about 4:35 a.m. Feb. 26. According to police, the reporting party located the trailer with minimal damage the next day. The case is under investigation.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Chehalis Police Department has not yet released its most recent call reports. Look for updated information in an upcoming edition of The Chronicle and at chronline.com when the reports are made available.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Feb. 27, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 162 inmates, including 149 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 126 were reported male and 23 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Feb. 27, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 16 inmates. Of those, seven were from Centralia, one was from Chehalis and five were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one each from the Skokomish Tribe, the Suquamish Tribe and the Chehalis Tribe.
CORRECTIONS
The Feb. 26 print edition of Records listed the incorrect date for jail statistics for the Chehalis Tribal Jail. The correct date was Feb. 25.
