Burglary
• A burglary to a construction site that resulted in the theft of more than $5,000 of equipment was reported in the 1300 block of Kresky Avenue at approximately 9:10 a.m. on April 30.
• A burglary to a construction site that resulted in copper plumbing being ripped out and stolen was reported in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just after 1:05 p.m. on April 30.
Malicious mischief
• A 26-year-old Grants Pass, Oregon, man was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief and disorderly conduct for damaging a protester’s sign and disrupting their right to protest at the intersection of South King Street and Centralia College Boulevard just after 2 p.m. on April 30.
• Damage to citizens’ properties in the 2500 block of Rodcin Avenue reported just after 1:35 p.m. on May 1 is under investigation.
Assault
• A juvenile was arrested for assaulting their parent in the 900 block of Johnson Road just before 4:30 p.m. on April 30.
• A 20-year-old Morton man was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 800 block of West Pear Street just before 3:15 p.m. on May 1.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in a parking lot in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue just after 7:15 p.m. on April 30.
Vehicle accident
• A minor-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 200 block of North Pearl Street just after 5:35 p.m. on May 1.
Theft
• A theft at a business in the 200 block of West Maple Street reported just before 9:45 a.m. on May 1 is under investigation.
• A woman was referred on charges for shoplifting in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just before 5:25 p.m. on May 1.
• A 44-year-old Shelton man was arrested for third-degree theft from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 8:05 p.m. on May 1. The suspect was detained by asset protection until police arrived.
Harassment
• Jeremy H. West, 45, of Cathlamet, was arrested for threatening to kill a family and burn their house down while the family was outside on their lawn in the 200 block of East Plum Street just before 8:25 p.m. on May 1. He allegedly “made motions like he was shooting a rifle, simulating the act with an umbrella,” according to the Centralia Police Department.

Suspicious circumstances
• Ongoing harassment was reported in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just before 12:20 p.m. on April 30.
• Two women were reportedly looking through the window of a stranger’s house in the 700 block of Southeast Adams Avenue just after 2:25 p.m. on April 30.
• A woman was reportedly trying to take a metal rod out of the ground in the 800 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 3:45 p.m. on April 30.
Theft
• A theft was reported in the 700 block of Northwest State Avenue at 4:10 p.m. on April 30.
• A third-degree theft reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 5:05 p.m. on April 30 is under investigation.
• A third-degree theft reported in the 500 block of West Main Street just before 7:15 p.m. on April 30 is under investigation.
• A shoplift was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 3:50 p.m. on May 1.
• A 38-year-old man was cited for shoplifting in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard at 7:45 p.m. on May 1.
Disorderly conduct
• A disorderly woman with a baseball bat was reported in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard at 9:15 p.m. on April 30.
• A man was reportedly yelling in the 300 block of Southwest James Street just after 11:40 p.m. on April 30.
Criminal trespass
• A 28-year-old man was reportedly sleeping in a rail car in the 100 block of Southwest Veterans Way at 3:55 p.m. on May 1. He was cited for making a false statement to police.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Wednesday morning and Friday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 55 illness-related calls, 12 injury-related calls, 13 fire-related calls, seven non-emergency service calls, one report of a dead body, two public assist requests, three overdoses, six vehicle accidents, one medical helicopter request, one 911-hangup call, one ambulance request and five other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 155 inmates, including 142 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 112 were reported male and 30 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Friday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 14 inmates, including seven booked by the Centralia Police Department, four booked by the state Department of Corrections and three booked by the La Push Quileute Nation.
