Sentencings
• Salvador Ramirez, 29, Stockton, was sentenced Feb. 23 to three years in prison and one year of community custody after pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and one count of unlawful use of building for drug purposes. As part of his sentence, Ramirez must participate in substance abuse evaluation and treatment. Ramirez was initially charged with one count of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance after he was arrested and accused of possessing 89 pounds of a meth-containing substance at Love’s Travel Stop in Napavine on Sept. 26, 2025. • Antonio Rivera, 32, Centralia, was sentenced Feb. 23 to 22 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count each of second-degree perjury and harassment. Rivera was previously sentenced Feb. 11 to 16 months in prison after the court revoked a parenting sentencing alternative sentence because Rivera violated its conditions by consuming marijuana without a lawful prescription card. Rivera later lied under oath claiming he had valid authorization. The sentences run consecutively, according to court records. Rivera also owes $26,855.99 in restitution to the victim. Rivera was previously accused of intentionally side-swiping a vehicle, causing it to crash into a power pole — breaking the driver’s leg — before fleeing the scene. The case ultimately went to trial. Rivera pleaded guilty to one count of vehicular assault and was found guilty of felony hit-and-run and making a false or misleading statement to a public servant. • Nathan D. Rolfe, 45, Napavine, was sentenced Feb. 23 to 36.75 months in prison and 36.75 months of community custody as part of a prison-based drug offender sentencing alternative (DOSA) after pleading guilty to one count each of first-degree theft, first-degree trafficking in stolen property and second-degree vehicle prowl. Rolfe must also pay $20,033 in restitution to the victim, in this case Precision Fiber Inc. Rolfe was also sentenced to 29.75 months in prison and 29.75 months of community custody as part of the DOSA after pleading guilty to one count each of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. In that case, Rolfe was initially accused of breaking into the Trinity Rebekah Lodge in Napavine in December 2024, disabling power to the building and stealing 125 pairs of new shoes intended for a charity event. Preliminary appearances
• Mitchell W. Sinclair, 57, Centralia, made a preliminary appearance March 4 for one count of second-degree taking a motor vehicle without permission. The court set bail at $25,000 cash or bond. Sinclair was scheduled for an arraignment on March 5.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Ramon A. Vidales, Aberdeen, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for third-degree theft after he allegedly stole a bike near the corner of Harrison Avenue and Bridge Street at about 2:43 p.m. March 4.
• Candice Aho, 36, Centralia, was arrested in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street at about 8:24 p.m. March 4 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and obstruction of a law enforcement officer, along with an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant for alleged possession of a controlled substance and use or delivery of drug paraphernalia.
• Norman Gastfield, 41, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) after allegedly assaulting a household/family member in the 2800 block of Russell Road at about 10:49 p.m. March 4.
• Sarah Ronk, 36, Shelton, was arrested in the 900 block of K Street at about 8:30 p.m. March 5 and booked in the Lewis County Jail for felony harassment after allegedly threatening to kill a Centralia citizen. Ronk was also referred for alleged crimes including resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and use or delivery of drug paraphernalia.
• Zachary Greene, 51, Centralia, was arrested near the corner of South Tower Avenue and East Locust Street at about 12:54 a.m. March 6 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for an alleged open container violation and alleged crimes including possession of a controlled substance, use or delivery of drug paraphernalia, and dangerous weapons. Police said Greene was found intoxicated with an alcoholic beverage on a city sidewalk and possessed drugs, drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles upon his arrest.
Accidents
• A three-vehicle collision with no known injuries was reported near the corner of Harrison Avenue and Belmont Avenue at about 11:25 a.m. March 4.
• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported near the corner of West Reynolds Avenue and North Pearl Street at about 1:15 p.m. March 5.
• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue at about 6:52 p.m. March 5.
Criminal trespass
• A juvenile was trespassed from a business in the 1500 block of Lum Road at about 4:10 p.m. March 5 after staff reported they had observed him shoplifting in the past.
Drug paraphernalia
• Miguel A. Medina Sanchez, 34, and Alicia J. Trepanier, 34, of Centralia, were contacted during a traffic stop near the corner of East Locust Street and South Gold Street at about 10:28 a.m. March 5. Medina Sanchez was arrested for alleged third-degree driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. Trepanier was arrested for a Thurston County Superior Court felony warrant and a Lewis County District Court warrant.
Juvenile problem
• Police referred a juvenile for charges in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 12:14 p.m. March 4 after he got into a physical altercation with staff at school.
Malicious mischief
• A garage door was reported damaged in the 200 block of South Buckner Street at about 10:08 a.m. March 5, leading the property owner to believe that someone had attempted to burglarize her garage. Nothing was said to be missing.
Marijuana violation
• Police referred a juvenile for charges in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 10:39 a.m. March 4 after it was discovered he possessed marijuana products at school.
Order violation
• A reported order violation was under investigation in the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road at about 2:50 p.m. March 4.
Rape
• Officers received a report of sexual assault of a juvenile teenager by an adult in 2024/2025 in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue at about 5:44 p.m. March 5. The case is under investigation.
Traffic violation
• Police referred a juvenile to Lewis County Juvenile Court after the juvenile was found riding a minibike on city streets without a driver’s license near the corner of Centralia College Boulevard and South Rock Street at about 7:21 p.m. March 4.
Theft
• Officers investigated a theft involving a stolen money order and other items in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue at about 2:51 p.m. March 5.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Rick T. Ostby, 30, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged warrants and cited for alleged third-degree theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 9:38 p.m. March 3.
• Andrew Gerrish was booked into the Lewis County Jail for two counts of alleged third-degree assault in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue at about 12:32 a.m. March 5.
• Stacy D. Senter was contacted in the 400 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue at about 2:18 p.m. March 5, taken into custody, transported and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged first-degree criminal trespass and a Department of Corrections warrant.
Assault
• Nicole Dallman was issued a criminal citation for alleged fourth-degree assault and knowing possession of a controlled substance in the 2600 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue at about 7:44 a.m. March 4.
Criminal trespass
• Michael Bolser was issued a citation for alleged second-degree criminal trespass in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way at about 7:08 p.m. March 4.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of March 6, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 159 inmates, including 146 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 125 were reported male and 21 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of March 6, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 13 inmates. Of those, seven were from Centralia, one was from Chehalis and four were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one from the Suquamish Tribe.
