Sentencings
• Brandt St. Pierre, 59, Silver Creek, was sentenced Feb. 11 to three years in prison after a jury found him guilty of one count of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. St. Pierre also pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance prior to his sentencing. He must register as a felony firearms offender.
• Jesse W. Lincecum, 36, Centralia, was sentenced Feb. 11 to 31 months in prison and 18 months of community custody after pleading guilty to one count of second-degree assault of a child, domestic violence. The court entered a domestic violence no-contact order on behalf of the victim. As part of his sentence, Lincecum must participate in domestic violence evaluation and treatment, according to court documents. Lincecum was previously accused of slapping an 11-month-old child, enough to cause “significant bruising,” according to a doctor’s reported hospital evaluation. • Samuel A. Isguerra, 27, Centralia, was sentenced Feb. 11 to 364 days in jail with 342 days suspended and 22 days of credit for time served to go with a court-authorized Drug Offender Sentencing Alternative (DOSA) that includes up to six months of chemical dependency treatment and 24 months of community custody. Isguerra pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to one count each of felony DUI and first-degree driving with a suspended licence. He also entered an In Re Barr plea to one count of vehicular assault. • Estebon E. Perkins, 42, Centralia, was sentenced Feb. 11 to 26 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of theft of a motor vehicle. • Martin W. Gallagher, 63, Chehalis, was sentenced Feb. 13 to 364 days in jail with 313 days suspended and 51 days of credit for time served after pleading guilty to one count of fourth-degree assault domestic violence, which was initially charged as second-degree assault domestic violence. A felony harassment charge was dropped. As part of his sentence, Gallagher must undergo domestic violence evaluation and treatment. The court entered a no-contact order on behalf of the victim. Preliminary appearances
• Steven S. Knittle, 59, Chehalis, made a preliminary appearance Feb. 12 for one count each of unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree assault domestic violence and felony harassment domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted his spouse when she tried to leave their van, according to court documents. The court set bail at $50,000 cash or bond and entered a domestic violence no-contact order on behalf of the alleged victim and an order for Knittle to surrender any firearms. He is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on Feb. 19.
• Antonio Rivera, 31, Centralia, made a preliminary appearance Feb. 12 for one count each of first-degree perjury and felony harassment after he allegedly lied under oath stating he had a valid cannabis authorization card, according to court documents. The court set bail at $5,000 cash or bond. Rivera is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on Feb. 19.
• Justin C. Emerson, 41, Winlock, made a preliminary appearance Feb. 17 for one count of possession of a stolen vehicle. The court set bail at $25,000 cash or bond. Emerson is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on Feb. 19.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Nicholas B. Decker, 37, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree theft and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at about 9:43 a.m. Feb. 7 after police allegedly determined he stole items from a store. Police allegedly found drug items on Decker’s person and the stolen products at the time of arrest.
• Savannah B. A. Hornkohl, 27, Toledo, allegedly provided a false name to police while being contacted in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at about 2:58 a.m. Feb. 17. At the time, Hornkohl allegedly had a “no bail” warrant out of Lewis County District Court. Police booked Hornkohl for first-degree criminal impersonation and her warrant.
• Chanan Bunchaidung, 34, Dupont, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree theft while Brenda Christensen, 24, Olympia, was referred to Lewis County Superior Court for second-degree theft after they allegedly shoplifted over $3,000 worth of merchandise from a business near the corner of Harrison Avenue and northbound Interstate 5 at about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 17.
• Derk Singleton, 45, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree criminal impersonation after allegedly providing a false identity to avoid arrest for criminal trespassing in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard at about 1:13 a.m. Feb. 18.
Accidents
• Police investigated a two-vehicle collision with no reported injuries near the corner of North Pearl Street and West Magnolia Street at about 1:48 p.m. Feb. 17.
Agency assist
• Police investigated a potential case of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at about 11:40 a.m. Feb. 17.
Criminal trespass
• Trevor Craig, 26, and Aaron Henning, 36, both of Centralia, were arrested and released for second-degree criminal trespass in the 800 block of South Gold Street at about 11:59 p.m. Feb. 16 after allegedly entering and remaining unlawfully on property from which both had previously been trespassed.
Department assist
• Chehalis police arrested Daniel Larson, 41, Chehalis, for alleged fourth-degree assault domestic violence in the 1700 block of South Market Boulevard at about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 16. Prior to the arrest, Centralia patrol officers assisted in the investigation of a reported domestic violence assault at Providence Centralia Hospital.
Theft
• A case of check fraud/forgery was reported in the 1100 block of West Cherry Street at about 2:33 p.m. Feb. 17.
Drug paraphernalia
• Savannah B. A. Hornkohl, 27, Toledo, and Dawson J. Harris, 30, Rochester, were arrested and issued criminal citations for alleged use or delivery of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at about 2:24 a.m. Feb. 17 after they were contacted in a vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business. Hornkohl was later booked on unrelated charges.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Nicholas Kos was booked into jail for one count of alleged disorderly conduct near the corner of Northeast Kresky Avenue and Northeast Hampe Way at about 7:42 a.m. Feb. 15 after he was reportedly seen throwing garbage into the roadway.
• Brandon K. Jackson was booked into jail and issued a criminal citation for allegedly obstructing a law enforcement officer near the corner of South Market Boulevard and Southwest 19th Street at about 11:08 p.m. Feb. 15.
• Daniel Larson was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault domestic violence in the 1700 block of South Market Boulevard at about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 16.
DUI
• Garrett McDaniel was booked into jail and issued a criminal citation for allegedly driving under the influence near the corner of South Market Boulevard and Southwest 19th Street at about 10:23 p.m. Feb. 15.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Feb. 18, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 174 inmates, including 158 in the general population and 16 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 130 were reported male and 28 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 14 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Feb. 18, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 14 inmates. Of those, four were from Centralia and six were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one each from the Skokomish Tribe, the Suquamish Tribe, the Tulalip Tribe and the Chehalis Tribe.
