Sirens: Ex Sends Unwanted DoorDash; Disorderly Man Exposes Himself; Yelling at a Cat; Assaults; Thefts

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Criminal Trespass 

• Just before 11:40 a.m. on March 29, a caller reported “a group of people from the homeless camp (were) making a mess” in the 800 block of West Main Street. 

• A case of possible trespassing was reported at the intersection of Southwest Cascade Avenue and Southwest Lewis Street at 3:10 p.m. on March 29. 

• A teenager was reportedly outside a store in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 3:25 p.m. on March 29 “selling candy (and) refusing to leave.” 

• A disorderly subject was trespassed from a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. on March 30. 

 

Burglary 

• A second-degree burglary reported in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street just before 12:05 p.m. on March 29 is under investigation. 

 

Theft 

• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 6:30 p.m. on March 29. 

• A case of third-degree theft reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 9:45 a.m. on March 30 is under investigation. 

 

Dispute 

• A motorcycle rider was reportedly fighting with two male subjects who “hit his motorcycle” in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 3:10 p.m. on March 29. No injuries were reported. 

 

Harassment 

• Just before 8:15 p.m. on March 29, a caller in the 2100 block of Southwest Olympic Drive reported their ex-partner “has been sending unwanted DoorDash” and frequently contacting their place of work. Officers advised the caller to seek an anti-harassment order. 

 

Assault 

• A case of fourth-degree assault reported in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street at 10:40 a.m. on March 30 is under investigation. 

 

Pornography 

• A case involving “pornography” reported in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street just after 10:50 a.m. on March 30 is under investigation. 

 

Vehicle Accidents 

• Injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Northwest Arkansas Way and Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 3:35 p.m. on March 30. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and North National Avenue just before 4:35 p.m. on March 30. 

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Disorderly Conduct 



• A disorderly man was reported in front of a business in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue just after 9:40 a.m. on March 29. The man left the scene before law enforcement arrived. 

• A disorderly man was reportedly “partially exposing himself to passing traffic” in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just before 1:25 p.m. on March 29. 

• A disorderly man was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 11:20 p.m. on March 29. The man left the scene before law enforcement arrived. 

• A Winlock man was reportedly standing at the corner of Harrison Avenue and southbound Interstate 5 “yelling, screaming at nobody and asking for money” at 4:10 p.m. on March 30. 

• A Centralia woman was reportedly “yelling and screaming at a cat” in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue just after 4:50 p.m. on March 30. 

• Two disorderly subjects were reportedly “dumping garbage from their vehicle” into the parking lot of a business in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at 6:40 p.m. on March 30. The subjects reportedly “agreed to pick up their garbage” after officers spoke to them. 

 

Assault 

• An assault reported in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at 4:50 p.m. on March 29 is under investigation. 

• A Randle man was arrested in the 200 block of West Oakview Avenue just after 2:05 p.m. on March 30 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree assault, domestic violence, after he allegedly held a knife to a woman’s neck during an argument.  She managed to escape and call 911, according to the Centralia Police Department. 

 

Dispute 

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 1600 block of Eshom Road at 9:10 p.m. on March 30. 

 

Theft 

• An Olympia man was cited for identity theft, third-degree theft and drug charges related to a shoplifting incident reported in the 1400 block of Lum Road at 6:15 p.m. on March 29. 

• A theft from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue was reported at 6:20 p.m. on March 30. The suspect reportedly fled in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived. Officers were unable to establish probable cause for the theft, according to the Centralia Police Department. 

• A theft from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue was reported at 12:35 a.m. on March 31. The two suspects reportedly fled in a vehicle before officers arrived but were later identified via security cameras and were issued criminal citations.  

 

Burglary 

• Two unidentified males reportedly burglarized a grocery store in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue at 1 a.m. on March 30. One male was wearing all black and the second male was wearing a black hoodie with a white design on it and a gray stocking cap, according to the Centralia Police Department. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• A man reportedly trespassed at a business in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just before 2:50 a.m. on March 30. The man left the scene before law enforcement arrived. 

 

Hit-and-Run 

• A subject was cited for a hit-and-run to a power pole in the 600 block of West Main Street just after 2:35 a.m. on March 31.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 146 inmates, including 133 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 105 were reported male and 28 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
