Sirens: Flower Pot Fire; Attempted Robbery; Stolen Purses

Flower Pot Fire

• Firefighters responded to a report of a porch fire on the 500 block of First Street at 4 a.m. Sunday. The fire started in a flowerpot on a front porch of the residence however passersby removed the flower pot before it caught the structure on fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Centralia Police Department

Meth Possession

• Chance M. Allen, 37, Centralia, was arrested and booked on an outstanding felony warrant and possession of methamphetamine on the 900 block of Woodland Avenue at 5:02 p.m. Friday. Additional charges of unlawful possession of a firearm are pending further investigation.

Theft

• There was a report of stolen medication from the 400 block of South Cedar Street at 7:57 a.m. Friday.

• The theft of chainsaws, tools and fuel from a logging truck that occurred sometime during the weekend on the 1800 block of North Pearl Street was reported at 5:35 p.m. Sunday.

• Wuilson Alverto-Lopez, 40, Centralia, was issued a summons for alleged third-degree theft after allegedly stealing his girlfriend’s cell phone on the 2800 block of Russell Road at 8:11 p.m. Sunday.

Attempted Robbery

• Mohamed S. Mohamed, 20, Seattle, was arrested and booked at 12:12 a.m. Saturday for alleged second-degree robbery after he went up to a woman on West Pear Street and South Oak Street and demanded she give him her money.

Vehicle Prowl

• Someone reported a broken car window on the 2500 block of Borst Avenue at 12:58 p.m. Friday.

Stolen Purses

• The victim reported the theft of her purse while she was grocery shopping on the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 5:59 p.m. Friday.

• A woman reported that her car was broken into overnight and her purse was stolen out of it on the 100 block of Jalyn Street at 1:10 p.m. Sunday.

Intoxicated And Feisty Man

• Michael A. Kauer, 40, Centralia, was arrested and booked for alleged assault after police responded to a call of an intoxicated man attempting to fight people on the 400 block of South Tower Avenue at 6:29 p.m. Friday.

Violation of a Protection Order

• Police are currently searching for Ronald A. Yeager, 22, Centralia, for an alleged violation of a protection order on the 2000 block of Cooks Hill Road at 7:41 p.m. Friday.

Pot Possession

• A teenage boy is being referred for charges for alleged possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on the 100 block of West Magnolia Street at 9:57 p.m. Friday.

Beer Run

• An unidentified man was caught on video stealing two cases of beer on the 1200 block of Mellen Street at 10:33 p.m. Friday.

Burglary

• An unknown suspect broke into a residence and stole a safe on the 1400 block of Crescent Avenue at 2:56 p.m. Sunday. The case is still under investigation.

Assault

• Jaime G. Salazar Jr., 31, Centralia, was issued a summons of fourth-degree assault after allegedly hitting his girlfriend on the 1100 block of Creekside Court at 6:31 p.m. Sunday.

DUI

• Jamie P. Church, 37, Chehalis, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence on West Cherry Street and South Oak Street at 11:52 p.m. Sunday.

• There is nothing to report.

Chehalis Police Department

Stolen Money

• Someone reported the theft of $50 cash from a mailbox on the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue at 5:34 p.m. Friday.

Prescription Forgery

• There was a report of a $60 forged prescription of Oxycontin from Walmart at 7:25 p.m. Friday.

Vehicle Prowl

• There was a report of a vehicle prowl on the 1700 block of Snively Avenue at 1:54 p.m. Saturday. Speakers, a stereo and an iPod were reportedly stolen.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol

• Armando L. Gutierrez, 18, Chehalis was arrested and released for alleged possession of alcohol near Southeast Park Hill Drive and Southeast Dobson Court at 7:45 p.m. Saturday after police responded to a verbal dispute. Also, a 16-year-old Winlock girl will be referred to the juvenile prosecutor for minor in possession of alcohol in relation to this incident.
