Sirens: Indecent Exposure; Disorderly Conduct; Theft; Assault of Elderly Patient

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Indecent Exposure 

• A subject was reportedly “flashing people” in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just after 3:35 p.m. on March 23. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

 

Disorderly Conduct 

• A subject was reportedly “banging on (a) van with a shopping cart and his body” in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 5:40 p.m. on March 23. No damage to the vehicle was reported. 

 

Theft 

• A case of third-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 7:55 p.m. on March 23 is under investigation. 

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft 

• Just after 7:30 a.m. on March 22, a victim reported an unknown suspect siphoned gas from their vehicle in the 700 block of Euclid Way sometime overnight. 

• Groceries were reported stolen from a store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 2:20 p.m. on March 22. 

• A gray 2009 Chevrolet Traverse was reported stolen from the 800 block of North Washington Avenue just after 3:15 p.m. on March 22. 

• A subject was cited for shoplifting alcohol in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just before 4:40 p.m. on March 22. 

• A juvenile male reportedly stole six alcoholic beverages from a business in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue just before 9:35 p.m. on March 22 and fled on foot. 

• A 1997 Honda Accord and a black 2015 Honda Civic were reported stolen from the 3000 block of Borst Avenue at 12:45 p.m. on March 23. The Honda Accord has been recovered. 



• Packages were reported stolen from the porch of a residence in the 700 block of West Plum Street at 3:40 p.m. on March 23. 

 

Assault

• A Centralia woman was arrested in the 400 block of Centralia College Boulevard at 11:50 a.m. on March 22 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault after she reportedly left Gather Church, walked into an alley and assaulted a caregiver who was helping an elderly patient into their apartment. 

 

Vehicle Accidents 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Kresky Avenue and East Summa Street just after 2 p.m. on March 22. 

• Injuries were reported following a two-vehicle, head-on collision in the 500 block of North Gold Street just before 2:15 p.m. on March 22. 

• A minor, non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Interstate 5 at 4:40 p.m. on March 22. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and West Bridge Street just before 4 p.m. on March 23. 

 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 110 block of West Maple Street just before 9:50 a.m. on March 23. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 153 inmates, including 141 in the general population and 12 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 116 were male and 25 were female. Of the WERC inmates, 10 were male and two were female.
