Sirens: Juvenile Arrested for Graffiti; Shotgun Stolen; Assault; Disorderly Conduct

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Hit-and-Run 

• A Mossyrock man was cited for a hit-and-run in the 1000 block of Alder Street at approximately 10:55 a.m. on Feb. 13. The man was reportedly involved in a single-vehicle collision and fled the scene. 

 

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of North Gold and East Maple streets just before 1:20 p.m. on Feb. 13. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of southbound Interstate 5 and Harrison Avenue just after 3:05 p.m. on Feb. 13. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1200 block of Belmont Avenue just before 8 p.m. on Feb. 13. One vehicle reportedly failed to yield right-of-way to another vehicle and collided with the front bumper. 

 

Malicious Mischief 

• Damage to cameras and coin dispensers in the 2900 block of Mt. Vista Road was reported at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Feb. 13. The case is under investigation. 

• A juvenile male was arrested in the 110 block of West Maple Street at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Feb. 14 and was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for alleged second-degree malicious mischief after he was linked to “several reports of graffiti damage to property.” 

 

Theft 

• A shotgun was reported stolen from a parked vehicle in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 10:50 p.m. on Feb. 13. The owner told officers he had been inside a restaurant for about 45 minutes and returned to his vehicle to find the passenger rear window had been broken out. 

 

Criminal Trespass 

• Officers were asked to trespass “two local adult transients” from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Feb. 14 after they were reportedly “being disorderly in the parking lot and scaring customers,” according to the Centralia Police Department. 

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Vehicle Accidents 

• A possible leg injury was reported following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Northwest Prindle Street and Northwest State Avenue just after 11:20 a.m. on Feb. 13. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 1400 block of South Market Boulevard just after 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 14. 

• A vehicle accident reported in the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 14 is under investigation. 



 

Criminal Trespass 

• A subject was trespassed from a property in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just after 8:25 a.m. on Feb. 13. 

• A case of criminal trespass was reported at the intersection of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and North National Avenue at 7:45 .m. on Feb. 14. 

 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard just after 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 14. 

 

Disorderly Conduct 

• A subject was reportedly “at the traffic light” at the intersection of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and North National Avenue “yelling at cars” just before 11:55 a.m. on Feb. 13. 

 

Malicious Mischief 

• A case of malicious mischief reported in the 200 block of Southwest 16th Street just after 12:50 p.m. on Feb. 13 is under investigation. 

• A case of third-degree malicious mischief was reported in the 1200 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue just before 11:50 a.m. on Feb. 14. 

Dispute 

• A physical dispute was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 5:05 p.m. on Feb. 13. No arrests were made. 

 

Assault 

• A patient reportedly assaulted a staff member at a facility in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. on Feb. 14. The victim declined aid. Charges have been referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 173 inmates, including 160 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 125 were reported male and 35 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
