Sirens: Juveniles Arrested for Graffiti; Juvenile Booked for Punching Parent in Face; Retail Theft; DUI Arrest

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of West Main and North Pearl streets at 12:05 p.m. on May 27.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run to a parked car in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue was reported just after 11:30 p.m. on May 27. The suspect vehicle, a small blue passenger car, reportedly caused minor damage to the parked vehicle.

 

DUI

• Timothy A. Earl, 43, of Chehalis, was arrested at the intersection of Mellen Street and Airport Road just before 12:45 a.m. on May 28 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence of intoxicants.

 

Retail Theft

• Power tools were reported stolen from a business in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue just before 3:45 p.m. on May 28. The case is under investigation.

• A woman was reportedly seen fleeing a business in the 100 block of West High Street just after 7:15 p.m. on May 28 with seven pairs of shoes she did not pay for. The suspect reportedly fled in a dark-colored SUV before police arrived on the scene.

• Merchandise was reported stolen from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 6:25 a.m. on May 29.

• A Centralia man was cited for shoplifting from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 7 p.m. on May 29.

• A Centralia man was cited for shoplifting from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 7:55 p.m. on May 29.

 



Other Theft

• A purse was reported stolen just after 1:05 p.m. on May 27 after a woman left her purse on a table inside a business in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard and returned a short time later to find it missing.

• A snow suit and an electronic device were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of North Washington Avenue at 6:15 p.m. on May 27.

 

Trespassing

• A Centralia man was cited for trespassing at a motel in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue at approximately 11:15 p.m. on May 28.

• A Centralia man was cited for trespassing at a restaurant in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue just after 6:05 p.m. on May 29.

 

Assault

• A juvenile boy was arrested in the 300 block of South Diamond Street just after 11:25 p.m. on May 28 and was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after he allegedly punched a parent in the face.

• A Kingston woman was arrested in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road just after 1:55 a.m. on May 20 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Malicious Mischief

• Two juvenile boys with “possible gang affiliation” were arrested in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue at 2:20 a.m. on May 30 after police contacted them regarding a dispute. During the contact, the boys were found to “have blue spray paint on their hands and several local businesses were found to have been tagged with blue gang affiliated graffiti.” The boys reportedly refused to identify themselves and were booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for alleged second-degree malicious mischief.
