CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Theft
• Property was reported stolen from a yard in the 900 block of Northwest Oregon Way just before 9:40 a.m. on May 10.
• A subject was cited for theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 6:20 p.m. on May 10.
Assault
• A 27-year-old Chehalis man was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 400 block of Southwest William Avenue just before 8:55 p.m. on May 10.
Animal negligence/abuse
• A report of animal negligence/abuse in the 900 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at 7:45 a.m. on May 12 is under investigation.
Vehicle prowl
• A vehicle prowl reported in the 10 block of Southwest 12th Street just before 8:10 a.m. on May 12 is under investigation.
Vehicle accident
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 700 block of North National Avenue just before 3:40 p.m. on May 12.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Criminal trespass
• A 25-year-old Centralia man was arrested for trespassing in the 100 block of South Pearl Street and for having someone else’s prescription drugs in his possession just before 1:20 p.m. on May 12.
• A homeless man who was found sleeping on a property in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 6:50 a.m. on May 13 was trespassed from the property.
Theft
• A 35-year-old Mossyrock man was arrested for shoplifting cookies from a grocery store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street just after 11:15 a.m. on May 13.
Vehicle accident
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of H and West Second streets at 12:05 p.m. on May 13. The at-fault driver was issued a citation.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Monday morning and Wednesday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 41 illness-related calls, 10 injury-related calls, three fire-related calls, seven non-emergency service calls, two vehicle accidents, two overdoses, one 911-hangup call and one other call.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Tuesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 166 inmates, including 153 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 122 were reported male and 31 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Wednesday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 22 inmates, including six booked by the Centralia Police Department, eight booked by the state Department of Corrections, two booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement, two booked by the City of Napavine, three booked by the La Push Quileute Nation and one booked by the Skokomish Tribe
