Sirens: Mossyrock and Morton Incidents; Assault; Theft; Open Container

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• At approximately 9:15 a.m. on April 20, a custodial assault that occurred in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street on March 28 was reported.

 

Theft

• A first-degree theft reported in the 200 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue at approximately 11:55 a.m. on April 20 is under investigation.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 1:40 p.m. on April 20 is under investigation.

• A TV was reported stolen from the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 2:10 p.m. on April 21.

 

Burglary

• A possible burglary to a residence in the 200 block of Southwest Lewis Street was reported just after 1:25 p.m. on April 21.

 

Disputes

• A verbal dispute between a man and a woman was reported in the 200 block of Northwest Pacific Avenue just after 12:40 p.m. on April 20. No arrests were made.

• A physical dispute between a man and a woman was reported at the intersection of Southwest Third Street and Southwest McFadden Avenue just after 5:35 p.m. on April 20. No arrests were made.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 12:50 p.m. on April 20.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 200 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue just after 6 a.m. on April 22.

• A non-injury vehicle accident reported in the 2400 block of Airport Road just before 6:50 a.m. on April 22 is under investigation.

 

Open Container

• Just after 7 p.m. on April 21, a caller in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard reported seeing the driver and passenger in a vehicle with open containers of alcohol. No arrests were made.

Rape

• A case of second-degree rape reported on the Exit 77 northbound off-ramp of Interstate 5 at 8 p.m. on April 21 is under investigation.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft 

• Items were reported stolen out of a vehicle in the 600 block of West Maple Street at approximately 10:55 a.m. on April 20.

• A Bremerton man was cited for alleged shoplifting in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 11:35 p.m. on April 20.

• Items were reported stolen from a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 2:50 p.m. on April 21.

• A purse was reported stolen from the 500 block of East Summa Street at 10:40 a.m. on April 21.

 



Crashes

• A non-injury, single-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Pioneer Way and Mt. Vista Road just before 5:55 p.m. on April 20.

• One driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after they were involved in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of West Sixth and North Pearl streets just after noon on April 21.

 

Assault

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 1200 block of Jalyn Court at approximately 10:40 p.m. on April 20 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault.

• A St. Robert, Montana, woman was arrested in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at 11:05 p.m. on April 21 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree assault after she allegedly bit a nurse.

 

MORTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

Morton Incidents

• An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Second Street just before 11 a.m. on April 4 regarding a theft. The case is under investigation.

• An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Main Avenue just before 9:35 p.m. on April 4 regarding a juvenile taking a motor vehicle without permission and an assault. The juvenile was arrested and charged for taking a motor vehicle without permission, driving without a valid license, third-degree malicious mischief and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

• An officer was dispatched to a report of an abandoned vehicle on Third Street just after 7:35 p.m. on April 6. The vehicle was towed.

• An officer was dispatched to the Dollar General just after 10:30 p.m. on April 8 regarding a burglary alarm. The alarm was determined to be false.

• An officer was dispatched to the EZ Storage at 1:50 p.m. on April 10 regarding a burglary complaint. The incident was determined to be a civil matter and the individual was advised to contact a civil attorney.

• An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street just before 12:45 p.m. on April 12 regarding a theft complaint. The incident was determined to be a civil matter and the individual was advised to contact a civil attorney.

• An officer was dispatched to the Arbor Health Hospital at 1:05 p.m. on April 13 to assist with a patient that did not have anywhere to stay. The officer was advised that the individual had a warrant for third-degree assault and escape from community custody. The subject was taken into custody without issue and transported to the Lewis County Jail for booking.

 

Mossyrock Incidents

• An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Williams Street just after 9:30 a.m. on April 4 regarding a suspicious circumstance’s complaint. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Williams Street at 3:55 p.m. on April 10 regarding a suspicious circumstances complaint. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Williams Street just after 9:45 p.m. on April 10 regarding a civil complaint. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of East State Street at 8:55 a.m. on April 10 regarding a civil complaint. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Williams Street at 9:20 a.m. on April 12 regarding a burglary complaint. The officer spoke with the individual and advised them there was no criminal matter involved. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to a report of a stolen backpack at Mossyrock High School just after 12:45 p.m. on April 14. The investigation is pending further information.

• An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Williams Street just after 9:30 a.m. on April 15 regarding a suspicious circumstances complaint. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Mossyrock Road at 5:25 p.m. on April 15 regarding stolen lumber from a building site. An informational report was taken.

• An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Williams Street at 6:25 p.m. on April 15 regarding a suspicious circumstances complaint. An informational report was taken.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 162 inmates, including 144 in the general population and 18 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 116 were reported male and 28 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 16 were reported male and two were reported female.
