Sirens: Rape Reported; Man Knocked Unconscious; Cash, Silver Stolen; Trespassing

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Rape

• A rape that was reported in the 200 block of Mineral Creek Road South just before 1 p.m. on Aug. 3 is under investigation.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 800 block of West Main Street at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 3.

 

Disputes

• A physical dispute between a man and a woman in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was reported just before 5:50 p.m. on Aug. 3. No arrests were made.

• A physical dispute was reported in the 2100 block of Southwest Olympic Drive just after 11:25 p.m. on Aug. 3. No arrests were made.

 

Malicious Mischief

• A case of third-degree malicious mischief reported in the 1400 block of Southwest Snively Avenue at 1:10 p.m. on Aug. 4 is under investigation.

 

Theft

• A purse and makeup were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 4:45 p.m. on Aug. 4. The suspect broke out the vehicle’s passenger side window.

• Four small liquor bottles were reported stolen from the 500 block of South Market Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 4.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 is under investigation.

• Boxes were reported stolen from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 10:25 p.m. on Aug. 5.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 8:05 a.m. on Aug. 3 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

• Just after 2:25 p.m. on Aug. 4, a man sustained injuries to his head and advised he was knocked unconscious in the 500 block of East Main Street. Officers believe the victim was hit in the head by his front door when an unknown subject possibly kicked it open. The case is under investigation.



 

Theft

• Cash and silver were reported stolen from the 4000 block of Mayberry Road just before 10:55 a.m. on Aug. 3. The case is under investigation.

• A burglary to a coffee stand in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue is under investigation.

• Just before 10:40 a.m. on Aug. 4, a motor-assisted bicycle was reported stolen from the 1400 block of West Main Street sometime overnight. 

 

Burglary

• A front door to an abandoned building in the 900 block of West Walnut Street in Centralia was reportedly broken open just before 1:50 p.m. on Aug. 4.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Graffiti was reported on a building in the 300 block of South King Street just before 2 p.m. on Aug. 3.

 

Trespassing

• A Shelton man was arrested in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just before 11:10 p.m. on Aug. 3 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing and interfering with a medical facility after he allegedly refused to leave a hospital and fought with security.

• A Centralia man was cited for trespassing in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue just before 4:05 a.m. on Aug. 4.

• A Centralia man was cited for trespassing in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue at 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 4.

• A man was trespassed from a business in the 300 block of Reynolds Avenue just before 9:50 a.m. on Aug. 4 for “acting erratically and scaring customers outside.”

• A man was trespassed from a property in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue “where he was playing loud music and possibly consuming alcohol in the parking lot” at 12:50 p.m. on Aug. 4. 

• A Centralia man was cited for trespassing at a property in the 300 block of North Gold Street just after 3 p.m. on Aug. 4.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 153 inmates, including 135 in the general population and 18 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 106 were reported male and 29 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 15 were reported male and three were reported female.
