Sirens: Robbery; Sexual Misconduct ; Woman Threatens to Accuse Man of Being 'Sexual Predator'

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft 

• At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 11, a bicycle was reported stolen from the 800 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue sometime overnight. 

 

Suspicious Circumstances

• At 8:35 a.m. on Jan. 11, a caller reported an unattended pile of items outside a furniture store in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard that appeared to be “covered in a lot of blood.” 

• At 1:20 p.m. on Jan. 12, a caller reported a woman parked next to him in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue with kids in her backseat exited her vehicle “and started taking pictures of him saying she was going to accuse him of being a sexual predator.” 

 

Disorderly Conduct 

• At 9:20 a.m. on Jan. 11, there was a report of a disorderly subject who reportedly “took a couple drinks without paying” and urinated on a building in the 10 block of Northeast Median Street.

• A disorderly male was reportedly going through a dumpster in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 1:05 p.m. on Jan. 11. 

• A case of disorderly conduct reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Jan. 11 is under investigation. 

• An “out-of-control customer” was reported in the 700 block of South Market Boulevard just after 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 11. 

• At approximately 4:50 p.m. on Jan. 11, a caller in the 500 block of Northeast Adams Avenue reported “her neighbor is … threatening to shoot (her) daughter out in the alley.” No arrests were made. 

• A disorderly subject was reportedly looking in vehicles in the 600 block of Southwest William Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. on Jan. 11. 

 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 10 a.m. on Jan. 11. 

 

Vehicle Accident 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 2500 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue just before 11:25 a.m. on Jan. 11. 

 

Sexual Misconduct 

• A case of sexual misconduct reported in the 100 block of Newaukum Village Drive just after 11:10 a.m. on Jan. 11 is under investigation. 

 



Theft 

• Just before 11:15 a.m. on Jan. 11, a cellphone theft that occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue in December was reported. 

• A vehicle that was reported stolen on Jan. 5 was recovered in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 11:20 a.m. on Jan. 11. 

• A case of shoplifting was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 11. 

• A subject was cited for vehicle theft just before 3 p.m. on Jan. 12 after a U-Haul employee in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported the subject failed to return a vehicle. 

• A man was trespassed from a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 12 after he allegedly shoplifted, threatened to shoot the reporting party and fled the scene. The man did not appear to have a weapon on his person at the time of the incident. 

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft 

• A Winlock man was cited for shoplifting in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 9:50 a.m. on Jan. 11. 

 

Eluding Police 

• A black Hyundai passenger car with the Washington license plate BZV9556 reportedly fled from police when officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle for expired tabs at the intersection of Haviland Street and Belmont Avenue just after 4:05 p.m. on Jan. 11. The vehicle continued northbound on Interstate 5. Officers did not pursue the vehicle due to the current laws restricting vehicle pursuits for traffic violations, according to the Centralia Police Department. 

 

Malicious Mischief 

• Graffiti was reported in the 800 block of G Street at 4:20 p.m. on Jan. 11. 

 

Robbery 

• An unidentified man and woman reportedly assaulted a man in the 100 block of South Pearl Street just after 7:40 p.m. on Jan. 11 and fled the scene before officers arrived. The suspects reportedly took the victim’s phone during the assault. The victim sustained minor injuries. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 148 inmates, including 146 in the general population and two in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 118 were reported male and 28 were reported female. Both WERC inmates were reported female.
