Sirens: Vehicle Accidents; Thefts From Businesses; Catalytic Converter Taken; Recovered Vehicle

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Accidents

• Injuries were reported from a two-vehicle collision in the 200 block of West Main Street just after 8:05 a.m. on Nov. 9.

• A three-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and southbound Interstate 5 just after 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 10.

 

Theft

• Just before 8:20 a.m. on Nov. 9, a catalytic converter was reported stolen from the 400 block of Union Street sometime within the last three days.

• A folding table was reported stolen from the 300 block of North Gold Street at approximately 1:55 p.m. on Nov. 9. The case is under investigation.

• A subject described in call logs as a “tall, slender” male in his 50s “with black hair and a black beard” reportedly ordered a meal at a restaurant in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue and refused to pay. The subject left before officers arrived. 

• Two subjects reportedly stole merchandise from a business in the 1400 block of Lum Street just before 5:50 p.m. on Nov. 10. The case is under investigation.

• A white 2003 Ford F250 long bed pickup truck was reported stolen from the 1500 block of South Gold Street just before 10:50 p.m. on Nov. 10.

 

Recovered Vehicle

• A vehicle reported stolen out of Lacey was recovered in a grocery store parking lot in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 10. The case is under investigation.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Spray paint on a utility box in the 700 block of West Pear Street was reported just after 3:50 p.m. on Nov. 9.

 

Trespassed From Property

• A disorderly subject was trespassed from a business in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 10.

 



CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• At approximately 8 a.m. on Nov. 9, a catalytic converter was reported stolen sometime overnight.

• A subject was arrested for shoplifting in the 1700 block of North National Avenue just after 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 9 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

• A $50 tent was reported stolen from a business in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. on Nov. 9.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 8:50 a.m. on Nov. 9 is under investigation.

 

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Southwest William Avenue and Southwest 13th Street just before 3:05 p.m. on Nov. 9.

• Injuries were reported from a vehicle versus pedestrian collision at the intersection of West Main Street and Northwest Chehalis Avenue at 5:40 p.m. on Nov. 9. The injured party was conscious and alert when the incident was reported.

Disputes

• A physical dispute possibly involving a machete was reported at the intersection of Northwest Folsom Street and Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 11:10 a.m. on Nov. 9.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Thursday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 155 inmates, including 140 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 111 were reported male and 29 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 13 were reported male and two were reported female.
